Is it possible to print only the outline preview (View > Preview) of an artboard? Taking a screenshot and printing is not an option for me.

I am trying to get an animation effect of a ball moving under a blanket with some resistance or a round object protuding out of a flat surface. Below is what I’ve been able to do so far and what I want to achieve. For now I’ve used a different colour for the ball to make things a more visible.
Let’s say I have a shape that I rotated at an awkward angle of let’s say 34°. I close the document, return a few hours later, and want to straighten the it back to its original 90° or 0° angle. The problem is I don’t remember the angle I originally rotated it at. Shift + Rotating nor resetting its bounding box does the trick. Any shortcuts/options I’m overlooking here? For example how would I rotate this quadrilateral so that it sits horizontally straight and looks like a box.
I cannot seem to get this right.. I want to create 2 gears that work together.
So a designer has given me some logos (for the web) which are white on a blue background. She has, however, added blue paths to the shape to make it match the background.
On mac, I have many more fonts on my computer than I use daily. Is there a way to control which ones appear on Illustrator etc.’s menus?
